Mary Emma (Hughes) Taylor, 91, of Norton, Virginia passed away on March 14, 2014 Norton, Virginia.
She was born Mary Emma Hughes, in Tacoma, Virginia in 1923 where she lived until she married and moved to Anderson after WW II. She made her home in Anderson for over 60 years, ultimately deciding at 85 years old to return to Virginia to live out her remaining years.
While she had many interests, her life centered around her family, her friends and her faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Bernard and four siblings.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen of Tucson, AZ; Sharon of Mount Dora, FL and Leatha and her family of central Indiana; four brothers and five sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Service will be on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor John Hackney of Crossroads United Methodist Church officiating, with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 18 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
