Cindy Mulkey Fitzgerald, 54, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Goodlett, the Rev. B.J. Funk, and the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born December 13, 1959 in Albany, Georgia to Julia Fletcher Jones and the late R.L. Mulkey. A 1977 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, Cindy received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University. She was a former educator at Fitzgerald High School and was currently teaching special education at Turner County Pre-K. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Cindy loved going to the beach with her friends as well as shopping and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years: Robby Fitzgerald; a son: Robert Sean Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law: Lynne & Chris Bradberry; grandson: Remington Bradberry; mother and step-father: Julia & George Jones; sister and brother-in-law: Mona & Hank McDaniel; and a niece: Hannah McDaniel. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister: Neysa Lynne Mulkey.
