TEWKSBURY - Joseph S. O’Donnell, 71, died Thursday, Mar. 21, at the Tewksbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Helen (Dunton) O’Donnell.
He was born in Wakefield, Aug. 8, 1930, a son of the late Philip and Mary (Hollander)O’Donnell. He was raised in Reading, but had lived in Dorchester and Norridgewock, Maine, thegreater part of his life.
He was employed as a machine operator at Ford Motors, and retired from the New Balance ShoeCompany in Maine.
He is survived by a son, Kevin of Shirley, three daughters, Katherine, Ada, and Helen all ofShirley, four sisters, Jean Knight of Tewksbury, Phyllis Eldredge of Reading, MaureenMacDonald of Wilmington, Carol Rockwood of Byfield, Mass., two brothers, Robert O’Donnellof Peabody, David O’Donnell of No. Hampton, MA, several grandchildren, and many niecesand nephews
