June A. Voisine, 67, of New Bedford, died Tuesday March 11, 2014 at home.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Leo G. and Doris R. (Goddu) Voisine, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life and had also resided in Dartmouth for over 25 years.
Ms. Voisine was a self-employed paralegal and title examiner, and was a former teacher of social studies and Spanish in area schools.
She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church, where she had been a CCD teacher for many years.
Ms. Voisine was a 1997 graduate of UMass Dartmouth. She was a member of the Massachusetts Conveyancers Association and had been secretary of the Cove Street Neighborhood Association. She was a charter member and former secretary of the Harley Owners Group, Westport Chapter.
Survivors include her children, Dawn M. Cabral of Fall River and Michael R. Peters of New Bedford; her siblings, Jacqueline Guilbeault and Geraldine Terrell, both of New Bedford, and Leo D. Voisine of Freetown; her former husband, Milton Peters of New Bedford; and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Christine Jardin, her companion, Milton N. Stark, and her former husband Reginald Hickney
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 22, 2014 at 8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with visitation from 6-8 PM prior to the service.
