Mary “Madina” (Freitas) Furtado, age 97 formerly of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was the wife of the late Antone Furtado & the daughter of the late Antone & Clara (Batista) Freitas. Prior to retiring, Mary worked as a machine operator for the former Anderson Little Co. and was a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great & great-great nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Belmira “Bella” Arruda, Manuel, Antone, Joseph, Leonard, John, Frank, & Freddie Freitas.
Following cremation, family & friends are invited to attend Mary's funeral mass on FRIDAY, March 21st at 10:00 A.M. in St. John of God Church. Interment in Nathan Slade Cemetery. There Are No Calling Hours. Kindly Omit Flowers. www.rogersfuneral.com.
