Ted Franklin Robinson, 72, of Omega died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with burial to follow at Omega Cemetery. Bryan Bishop, David Green, Chad Robinson, Dewayne Hardy, Ken Hardy and Joe Hardy will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Robinson was born on September 19, 1941 in Worth County and was the son of Clifford Robinson and Dorothy Iona Taylor Robinson, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Fawcett Robinson, who died in 2000; three brothers; and six sisters. He was retired from Coca-Cola and was also a farmer. He loved riding and driving horses and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his companion, Nancy Banker of Good Hope; two sons, Greg Robinson of Omega and Gary Robinson of Crosland; one daughter, Leisa Blalock of Tifton; two sisters, Gloria Jean Hardy of Omega and Diane Bostick of Moultrie; five grandchildren, Hunter Green, Sledge Green, Christa Bishop, Nikki Solanki and Samantha Powell; and one great-granddaughter, Cassandra Simone Bishop; and many nieces and nephews.
