Obituary

SALEM - Ruth Lydia (D’Entremont) Danjou, 102, of Winter Springs, Florida, formerly of Salem and Ludlow, Vermont, passed away February 22, 2014. She was born November 13, 1911 in Salem, the daughter of the late Wallace V. and Lena E. (Shaw) D'Entremont. Ruth was the wife of the late Joseph Rodgers “Buster” Danjou of
Beverly.

After graduating from Salem High School in 1928 and from Salem Commercial School in 1930, she worked at the office of Dr. Haywood of Salem for many years. In 1951 Ruth, her husband, and their only child, Jeffrey, moved to Ludlow, Vermont. In later years she worked in the Ludlow Municipal Office, and after
retiring, moved back to Salem in 1982. In 2004, Ruth moved to Winter Springs, Florida to be with her family. She loved making afghans and needlepoint pictures for family and friends.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey Danjou and his wife Andrea of Winter Springs, Florida; grandsons Scott Danjou and his wife Treeva of Orlando, Florida, Shawn Danjou of Winter Springs, Florida, and Jason Danjou and his wife Tiffany of Sanford, Florida; great-grandchildren Kennedy and Kaleb Danjou; step great-granddaughters Tabitha and Katlyn; and step-great-great grandsons Kaden and Oliver. She is also survived by her sister Marion Hodge and husband Raymond of Peabody; nieces Carol Osborne of Minden, Nevada, Nancy Lynch of Ipswich, and Carolyn Greene of Middleton; grandnieces Leigh-Ann Osborne of Carson City, Nevada and Briana Lynch of Newton; and grand-nephews Ian and Colin Greene of Middleton. She is also survived by great-grand-niece Emma Osborne of South Lake Tahoe, California and great-grand-nephew Gavin Osborne of South Lake Tahoe, California. Ruth was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Esther and Marshall Gardner of Peabody and grand-nephew Gregory Osborne of South Lake Tahoe, California.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
