Stanley H. Zorawowicz, 83, of Goffstown, died March 11, 2014 at Elliot Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Claremont on March 10, 1931 to Ignacy and Julia (Wilk) Zorawowicz. He lived in Manchester for most of his life before moving to Goffstown 10 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954.
Stanley was a firefighter for the City of Manchester for 20 years. He was a life member of the American Legion Sweeney Post.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage and tending to his fireplace. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Nora Lydon; an infant son, Timothy James Zorawowicz; a grandson, Michael Bunnell; a sister, Chasa Getman and brothers, Edwin and Mitchell Zorawowicz.
The family includes his wife of 45 years, Carol (Langley) Zorawowicz of Goffstown; nine children, Bryan Zorawowicz and his wife, Dina, and Erin Arel all of Manchester, Shauna Bunnell and her husband, John, of Homosassa, FL, Julie Mastacouris and her husband, Kirk, of Manchester, Stan Zorawowicz and his wife, Debra, of Hooksett, Thomas Zorawowicz of Manchester, Edwin Zorawowicz of Savannah, GA, Kara Smith and her husband, Leonard, of Francestown and Donna Zorawowicz of Manchester; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister in law, Charlotte Zorawowicz of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Lawrence Church, 1 East Union St., Goffstown.
