MARION — Ruth Lavina (Faber) Hall, 92, of Marion, MA passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Sippican Health Care Center, Marion, MA.
Ruth, the daughter of George Pierre and Beatrice Williamson Faber, was born October 12, 1921 in North Dartmouth, MA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Wordell, Edna Erickson and one brother, George A. E. Faber.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristen and husband Dr. Jeffrey Glavin of Marion, MA, her stepson John Hall of West Wareham, MA, three grandchildren, one great-grandson, Kristiana R. Pastir and her husband Steven of Trumbull, Ct., Lt. Jeffrey A. Glavin and his wife Sgt. Rachael of Gastonia, N.C. and their son Samuel, and James Glavin of Marion, MA, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel B. Poole of Romney, WV and very dear friends Joyce and Paul Kohaut of Marion, MA.
Ruth was a graduate of St. Luke's Hospital's Nursing School and retired after thirty-four years from the V.A. Hospital in Brockton, MA. Ruth was a member of Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Marion, MA.
Her funeral will take place on Thursday, March 13th at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford followed by burial in Rural Cemetery.
