Obituary

Mrs. Nancy D. (Lange) Stefanik, of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 9 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Walter J. "Bud" Stefanik for 51 years. She was born 71 years ago in Attleboro, the daughter of the late Emory and Dolores (Leroux) Lange. She was educated in Norton, having graduated from Norton High School in 1960, and had been a Taunton resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an Executive Secretary for the Foxboro Company for 24 years. Nancy enjoyed camping at Bourne Scenic Park, where her most enjoyable times were spent hosting cookouts with all of her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and, particularly, special moments with her grandson. She was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: a son: Brian Stefanik of Taunton; her twin daughters: Debra Stefanik and Denise Paiva and her companion, Brian Conway, all of Taunton; a brother: Edmund Lange of No. Attleboro; her sisters: Priscilla Graney and her husband, Joseph of Attleboro, and Sheila Pagano and her husband, Angelo of Cranston, R.I.; a grandson; Troy Paiva of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was also the mother of the late Stephen Stefanik and the sister of the late Raymond Lange.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, March 14 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tn., 38148-0142.
