Glynis H. Nall, 63, of Crawfordville, Florida (formerly of Fitzgerald) died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida following a courageous battle against cancer.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dr. Mike Ruffin, Rev. Charles Nall, Rev. Kelly Brown, and Elder Travis Fussell officiating. Eulogies will be given by her daughter, Pamela Damitz and by Rev. Sarah Holik. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nall was born January 27, 1951, in Lax, Georgia to the late Glen Ronnie & Ora Mae Harrell Hattaway. She was a graduate of Coffee County High School and attended ABAC and Darton College. She lived in Albany for many years and was an administrative assistant for the Burt & Swan Law Firm. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1995 and formerly worked for the Fitzgerald Housing Authority. Mrs. Nall served as finance secretary for First Baptist Church for over 15 years.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Pamela & Lee Damitz of Crawfordville, Florida and Kelly & Joey Booth of Newnan; three grandchildren: Summer Booth, D.J. Booth, and Christopher Damitz; siblings and their spouses: Susie & Robert Boteler of Jacksonville, Florida, Thomas & Linda Faye Hattaway of Alapaha, Lem & Janice Hattaway and Tillman & Judy Hattaway, all of the Lax community, Freddie & Shayla Hattaway of Rhine, Donald Hattaway and Dudley Hattaway, both of the Lax community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Johnnie Nall; one brother: Ronnie Hattaway, Jr.; and one sister: Edith Pearl Hattaway.
