CHICOPEE – Dianne R. (Daviau) Haney, 55, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, March 8, 2014. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on July 25, 1958, a beloved daughter of the late Edward P. and Rita C. (Labonte) Daviau. She was raised on Grattan Street in the Aldenville section of Chicopee and lived there for many years before moving to the Fairview section of the city in 2007. Dianne graduated in 1976 from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and then furthered her education by attending a business school. Dianne was employed as an administrative assistant at the East Village Place in East Longmeadow and also worked part-time at Patti’s 4-10 Lounge in the Fairview section of Chicopee. During her leisure time, Dianne enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends. She had the gift of a beautiful voice, enjoyed singing for her family and friends and was always ready to sing at Karaoke night. She leaves her loving son and best friend, Adam R. Haney and his companion, Katie A. Vient, of Chicopee; her cherished grandson, Michael C. Haney who was her “Little Bandit”; her longtime dear companion, Richard J. Groncki of Springfield; and her loving brothers and sisters, Edward A. Daviau and his wife, Sandy, of Rowe, MA, Therese B. “Terry” Boncavage and her husband, Gerald “Jerry”, of East Berlin, PA, Richard A. “Rick” Daviau of Chicopee, Roger J. Daviau of Warren, MA, Suzanne M. “Sue” Grandmont and her husband, Rene, of Palmer, Raymond F. Daviau and his wife, Gail, of Chicopee, Walter C. “Charlie” Daviau of Chicopee, and Frank Spinelli of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and numerous friends. An informal gathering and Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Patti’s 4-10 Lounge, (413-533-8817), 32 Quincy Avenue, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family has requested that everyone join them in comfortable clothing for this celebration.
