Obituary

Alfred “Fred” E. Lavallee, 67, of Main St, died Friday, March 7 at home. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Eugene and Doris (Vermette) Lavallee.
He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for Electric Boat in Quonset for many years until retiring in 1985. He was a bus monitor for the Cumberland School Dept for the last several years. Fred was an avid golfer, and enjoyed cooking.
He is survived by his longtime loving friend and soul mate Linda Hood of South Attleboro, MA. In addition to Linda, he is survived by two daughters; Anna Pierce of Cumberland, and Stephanie Lavallee of Lincoln, four grandchildren; Chase, Avery, Hayden and Reed, and two sisters; Elaine Doire of Smithfield, and Michelle Guertin of Northbridge, MA and his former wife Patricia Lavallee of Woonsocket. He was also the brother of the late Ronald Lavallee and Denise Berard.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Theresa’s Church, Baltic St., So. Attleboro. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 5-8PM.
