Obituary

Anne V. (O’Brien) Hanlon, 88, of Medway, died March 9 in her home. She was the wife of the late Daniel Edward Hanlon who died in 1998.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, November 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ann (Burke) O’Brien, Mrs. Hanlon was raised in Philadelphia and had lived in Medway since 1952.
A homemaker Anne devoted her life to caring for her children. She had taught CCD at St. Joseph Church.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen M. Hanlon of Pendleton, Indiana, Patrick F. Hanlon and his wife Deborah of Millis, Thomas E. Hanlon and his wife Patricia of Sarasota, Florida, Mary Thayer and her husband Richard of Medway, Daniel E. Hanlon, Jr. and his wife Jane of Plymouth and Michael J. Hanlon and his wife June of Medway.
She was the sister of the late Mary M. O’Brien.
She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday March 12 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
