Obituary

Manchester- Joan McGorry Dimick ("Noni") of Manchester, NH passed away suddenly on March 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family and lifelong friend, Marguerite Wageling. She was born on September 15, 1957, the daughter of Joan C. McGorry (Donahue) and the late Robert D. McGorry. She graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of 1975, where she was voted "Class Clown."

Joanie enjoyed spending time with her family, rides with her husband on their Harley Davidson, crocheting, knitting, tending her garden, country music and spending time with her much loved dog and sidekick, Teq. She and her husband were active members of the Manchester H.O.G. Chapter 1294. Always the giver, Joanie was a caring wife, daughter, sister, step-mother, aunt and friend who valued time spent with family and friends above all else. She was fond of reminding her husband, Shawn, that she "loved him more," to which he would counter, that he "loved her longer."

Joanie was well known for her sharp wit and always insisting on having the last word. She was warm, compassionate, and selfless. Her extended family includes her friends and co-workers at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, where she worked since 2005.

Joanie is survived by her adoring husband of 13 years, Shawn Dimick, who made her happier than she could have imagined; her incredible mother, Joan McGorry; a brother, Brian McGorry, sister, Lynn Normand and her husband James; sister, MaryEllen "Beab" McGorry and her partner, Debra Drumm; brother, Sean and his wife, Linda; step-daughter, Shawna Dimick; her aunt, Irene "Jackie" Betts and her uncle, Robert Donahue and his wife, Patricia; nieces and nephews, BJ, Shelbi and Brandon McGorry, Peter Normand and Justin Normand, Kyle McGorry, Megan McGorry and her partner, Eric Beaulieu; her great niece, Hannah Grace Beaulieu, who brought Joanie so much joy; sisters-in-law Yvonne Manning and her husband Marcus, Alvira Mientus and her husband Steven, brother-in-law Paul Dimick II, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and her dog, Teq.
