Myrtle F. (Johnson) Eldridge, 71, of Mattapoisett died October 25, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Frederick Eldridge.
Born in Mansfield, the daughter of the late Otis H. and Ida C. (Lyons) Johnson, she had lived in Mattapoisett for most of her life.
She was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse at the Mattapoisett Nursing Home in Mattapoisett and at Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford.
Survivors include 2 sons, David Eldridge, and his wife Ann, of Rochester, and Steven Eldridge, and his wife Alice, of Mattapoisett; 2 sisters, Eva Soos of Meredith, NH and Janet Leautenayer of Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Michael Eldridge and Sarah Eldridge, both of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Roy Eldridge and sister of the late Margaret Magilton, Michael Johnson and Mary Stone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Thursday, October 28th at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Wednesday, October 27th from 5-8 PM.
