TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Barbara A. (Tapscott) LeBlond, age 82, died Saturday morning, March 8, at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, after a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife for 61 years of Ronald P. LeBlond, who died last November 2nd.
Barbara was born in Exeter, N.H., on October 3, 1931, to William and Euphemie (Picard) Tapscott. She and her husband were both raised in Somersworth, New Hampshire, married in 1953, and moved to Tewksbury in 1966 from Arizona. She had been in Residence at Blairehouse of Tewksbury for the past year.
Before retirement, she worked as a Personnel Manager for Sears.
She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin R. and Georgia (Mazzone) LeBlond of Westford; two grandchildren, Christina Rayborn and Roxanne Charlton; and two great grandchildren, Natalie and Nicholas Charlton; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, March 11, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or visit www.alz.org/manh/ will be appreciated.
