Coralie A. Anderson, 80

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Coralie A. (McGlashing) Anderson, age 80, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed in the presence of her loving family on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. She was the beloved wife of Arthur A. Anderson, Sr.
Born in Mansfield, MA on July 28,1933, she was a daughter of the late Clarence F. and Madeline L. (Bartlett) McGlashing. She grew up and was educated in Mansfield.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Anderson had been employed as a Quality Control Inspector at the Foxboro Co. where she worked for over 25 years.
Coralie was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. Her activities at the church included preparing and organizing the senior luncheons for many years.
Throughout her 62 years of marriage to her beloved husband, the couple enjoyed numerous years spent together fishing, camping, and spending the winter months in sunny Florida. Her other hobbies also included bowling.
Coralie always had a smile on her face and a knack for pleasing others. She put her faith in God every day and not once would she be heard to say “woe is me”. She was the true definition of strength and selflessness.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Arthur A. Anderson, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Mansfield and Patricia A. Larkin and her husband Ronald of Foxboro. She was the dear sister of Janet Cooke and Warren McGlashing both of Florida and the late Geraldine Kincaid, Roy McGlashing, Louis McGlashing, Thomas McGlashing and Madeline Hartnett. She was the adoring grandmother of Jennifer Guthenberg, Kaysee Larkin, Dr. Todd Anderson, Brian Anderson, Jason Anderson, Paul Gaudreau and Ian Goudreau. She is also survived by her cherished 11 great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, March 13th at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church, 52 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will be held at a later date in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 12th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Coralie’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the First Baptist Church, 52 North Main St, Mansfield, MA 02048.
