Daniel J. “Dan” Faria, 68, of Dartmouth, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Susan C. (Aguiar) Faria.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late John and Mary (Pimental) Faria, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Faria was a retired Dartmouth Police Officer, had worked as a car salesman for the former Dartmouth Dodge and enjoyed racing pigeons.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Daniel J. Faria, Jr. of Dartmouth; his daughter: Tracy E. Champagne of Columbia, CT; 2 sisters: Diane S. Medeiros and Kathleen J. Laviolette, both of Dartmouth; his granddaughter: Samantha N. Champagne; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 12:30 -2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
