Beverly A. Hodgman, 56, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday March 6, 2014 at her home. She was born in Berlin on June 21, 1957 the daughter of Norman and Doris (Gagnon) Laflamme and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1975 and also graduated from the NH Vocational Technical Institute with a degree in nursing. Bev had been employed by Coos County Family Health Services, St. Luke Medical Center and the Coos County Nursing Home. She adored her grandchildren, loved camping at Littlefield Beaches, quilting and motorcycle riding. She enjoyed the holidays, especially Halloween.
Family includes her husband of 37 years Scott Hodgman of Berlin, NH; daughter Abbey Lafrance and husband Brian of Topsham, ME; son Ryan Hodgman and wife Emily of Portland, ME; granddaughters Brynna Hodgman and Leah Lafrance; her mother Doris (Gagnon) Laflamme of Berlin, NH; brothers Larry Laflamme and wife Martha of Berlin, NH, Peter Laflamme and wife Tammy of Berlin, NH, Alan Laflamme and wife Audrey of Berlin, NH and Brian Laflamme and wife Annette of Pittsfield, NH; sisters Helen Stankelis and companion Joe of Glen, NH and Ann Laflamme and fiancee Leo King of Berlin, NH; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Derek Hodgman and her father Norman Laflamme.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 10, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Derek Hodgman Memorial Scholarship, c/o Northway Bank, 9 Main St., Berlin, NH, 03570.
