Amy D. (Higgins) Dion, 78, Of Salem, NH died Tuesday, March 4th at her home.
Amy was born and educated in Ipswich, MA and graduated from Ipswich High School. She worked at Store 24/Tedeschi Food Shop in Salem for over 30 years. Amy enjoyed her job and enjoyed sewing. She was a talented baker and liked decorating wedding cakes.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mary (Stokem) and Forrest Higgins, her daughter, Karen Lee Dion and her brother Al Higgins.
Amy is survived by her children, Glenn Dion and wife Terry of Nashua, NH,
Denise Dion of Danville, NH,
Gary Dion and wife Linda of Derry, NH and
Amy Woods and husband Joe of Salem, NH;
her siblings, Forrest “Sonny” Higgins of Newburyport, MA and
Mary Lou Martin and husband Harry of Greenland, NH;
10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, March7th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
The Funeral Service is Saturday at 10AM at the Funeral Home. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
