Obituary

Emma L. (DeCesare) Johnson, 93, of Franklin died March 4. She was the wife of the late Edward P. Johnson who died in 2001.
Born in Franklin, December 28, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Cataldo) DeCesare
Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong Franklin resident.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School and the Fay School.
Mrs. Johnson had been an executive administrative secretary at the Foxboro Company for over 30 years.
She had been a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s Club.
She loved to travel, cook, dance and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her children, Richard T. and Kate Johnson of Plymouth, David T. and Beth Johnson of Swansea and Kristine Johnson and Elliott Chick of Lancaster.
She is also survived by her sister Elvira Hipple of Franklin and her grandchildren, Andrea Johnson and her husband Rui Carreiro, Caryn Valente and her husband Dave and Zachary Johnson.
She is also survived by her great-grandson Jake Edward Carreiro.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday March 10 in St Mary’s Church at 10:00
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
