GLOUCESTER – Mary (Bailey) Feener, 79, of 10 Dale Avenue, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2014.
Born in Dallas, Texas on July 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Lula Mae (Landis) Bailey. She was a longtime resident of Gloucester.
Mary was employed at the former Seafood Kitchens and later as a clerk at Store 24 on Washington Street for many years.
She was a voracious reader and great sports fan. She loved to watch the Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves.
Mary is survived by her children, Steve, husband of Paula Feener, Bill Feener, Paul, husband of Vicki Feener and Elizabeth Tracy, companion of Lawrence Rizzotti; ten grandchildren, Bryan Feener, Sean Feener, Erin Jackson, Amber Feener, James Garrett, David Feener, Nicole Gueth, Brittany Jordan, Kevin Alex and Chet Alex; eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Marie Tennison MacDonald, wife of Bill MacDonald, Fay Carter, Jeannie Grinnell, companion of Kenneth Borque; her brother, George Bailey; a sister-in-law, Myra Bailey, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Michael L. Feener, and her brother, David Bailey.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Dolliver Memorial Cemetery, West Gloucester.
