Josephine (Barbara) Manfra, a life-long resident of the West End, died Friday. She was 85.
Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and the late Marie (Novello) Barbara. Josephine was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She was the beloved wife of the late Michael M. Manfra, who died in 1997. She was a devoted mother to Barbara Ann Manfra of Boston, Michael J. Manfra and his wife Eleanor of Tewksbury. She was a loving grandmother to Jennifer Marie and Michael, Jr. and a dear sister to Vito Barbara of Hingham, and the late Connie Gregg. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may visit Tuesday 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Joseph Church, 68 Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston, Wednesday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
