Obituary

Laconia-----Eugene Chadbourne Graves, 85, of 21 Ledges Drive died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Saturday, February 22, 2014. He was the widower of Marilyn (Curry) Graves who died January 28, 2005.
Mr. Graves was born March 31, 1928 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of the late Newton and Helen (Knight) Graves. He was a long time resident of Andover, Mass. and had served in the U. S. Army.
Mr. Graves was a mathematical engineer and had been employed at Charles Stark Draper Labs for 20 years. He was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church and sang tenor in the choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Catherine Seaman, of Tewksbury, Mass.; a son, Chadbourne Graves of Chester, NH; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Wendy Stern of North Andover, Mass., and Linda Lebach of North Falmouth, Mass.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Laconia Congregational Church, 69 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. Rev. Dr. Warren H. Bouton, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, N.H. in the spring.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Rte 28, Methuen, MA 01844.
