WORCESTER: Margaret M. (Daly) O'Connell, 97, of 52 Country Club Blvd., died Sunday, October 24, 2004, in University Commons, 378 Plantation St., after an illness. Her husband, Dennis F. O'Connell, died in 1958.
She leaves three daughters, Marguerite M. Giuliani of Worcester, Alice M. Molina also of Worcester, Kathleen M. Richter and her husband David of Shrewsbury; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild. Another daughter, Eileen T. Roberts of Colfax, Washington, and two sons, Richard O'Connell and Dennis F. O'Connell, Jr., both of Auburn, all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, October 31, 1906, daughter of the late John and Margaret (McGillicudy) Daly. She lived in Worcester most of her life.
Margaret was a shop worker for 25 years at Worcester Pressed Aluminum until she retired in 1974. After retiring, she worked part time as a clerk at the former North Side Pharmacy at Lincoln Plaza. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and a member of the Fifty-Two Club.
A CALLING HOUR will be held from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by a FUNERAL MASS at 10 a.m. in ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will be in St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford, MA.
