Obituary

Charles J. “Chip” Horwath, 72, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday March 1, 2014, in the Greenbriar Terrace, Nashua, NH. Chip was born in Allentown, PA, on November 29, 1941, a son of the late Charles and Claire (Flammer) Horwath. He was a graduate of Liberty High School , later graduating from Moravian College, both in Bethleham, PA. He earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Chip served with the US Coast Guard from 1959 to 1965. He retired in 1996 from FHA/HUD where he worked as a real estate appraiser. As a hobby, he enjoyed everything about working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Gina M. (Gregor) Horwath of Londonderry, his son, Jesse G. Horwath of Malden, MA, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey L. Horwath.
Calling hours were held on Monday March 10, 2014, from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Services were held on Tuesday, March 11th at 11:00am in the chapel at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, Route 3, Boscawen, NH. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Stroke Association Founders Affiliate, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6,Waltham, MA 02451-8750 or to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
