Lorraine V. Ouimette, 92, of Log Road, Smithfield, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield. She was the widow of Reginald L. Ouimette, Sr.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michael E. and Anna Mary (Guevremont) Ward. She had lived in Smithfield for 70 years.
She had worked as an LPN at the former Elmbrook Nursing Home and Hebert’s Nursing Home, both in Smithfield. She had also worked at Bostich for 20 years before retiring in 1982.
She is survived by her children: Reginald L. Quimette, Jr. of Mapleville, Suzanne Leary of Cleburne, TX, Linda Greene of Glen Ellyn, IL Kathryn Sullivan of North Providence and Michelle Quadrino of Virginia Beach, VA, her 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and her siblings: Robert Ward, Dorothy Boardman, Ruth Bloch and Shirley Lindell. She was the sister of the late Francis Ward and Michael Ward.
Visitation and funeral service will be held Monday in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home,Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation 4-7PM and funeral service at 6PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101 .
