Mary Jo (Gonterman) Hancock, 78, passed away February 26, 2014 at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a former employee of U.P.S. and Johnson Control. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney J. Hancock, and her son, Michael Hancock. She is survived by her son, Dennis O’Bannon; two sisters, Shirley Ferguson and Peggy Meeks; brother, Stanley Meeks; niece, Ivye Mattingly and three grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday at 12 Noon at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation will be Friday 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
