Manuel N. Reis, age 76, of Fall River passed away February 26, 2014 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born in Mosteiros, São Miguel, Açores, he was the beloved husband of Cecilia C. (Dias) Reis and the son of the late Manuel Sebastiao Reis and Maria Gloria (Sousa-Reis) Reis. Prior to retiring, Manuel worked as a Construction Machine Operator, and was the retired owner of M & S Liquors. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4 and a member of the Somerset Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, Manuel is survived by his children: Karen Pacheco, Charlotte Reis, David Reis, Susan Goncalves, Jason Reis, Justin Reis all of Fall River, and the late Christopher Reis; brother of Eileen Medeiros of Fall River and the late Edwino Reis; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; and many cousins.
