Mildred B. (Chase) Epstein, age 89, of Bourne, formerly of Mansfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward E. Epstein, Jr. who died on Oct. 19, 1998.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 1, 1924, she was a loving daughter of the late Lloyd, Sr. and Lenora (Mohr) Chase.
She grew up in Attleboro and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. She furthered her education by attending school for business in Connecticut.
A resident of Bourne for 20 years, she had previously resided for many years in Mansfield. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Epstein had been employed for 48 years in the offices of the Attleboro Mutual Insurance Co. in Attleboro.
Mildred enjoyed spending time and socializing with family and friends. Her interests included reading and she was also a member of the Business Women’s Association and while residing in Mansfield was a member of the Congregational Church of Mansfield.
She was the dear sister of the late Lloyd Chase, Jr. and her twin sister Eleanor. She is survived by 3 generations of loving and devoted nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
