Warren Hanscom, longtime resident of Marshfield, age 80, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 25, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Newton, MA and was a graduate of Bentley College and a US Army veteran.
Warren was the beloved husband of Janet (McElroy) Hanscom. He met the love of his life in 1951 when he summoned up the courage to ask Janet to go on the Ferris wheel with him. He always said “we’ve been going around ever since.” Janet and Warren were married for 57 years and set the bar for everyone else when it comes to a perfect loving relationship.
Warren and Janet loved to travel together and had many special trips including the White Mountains, Hawaii, Florida, National Parks, Colorado, Bermuda, Canada, Texas, Las Vegas, England and Italy.
Warren worked at American Motors for 38 years as a Dealer Placement Manager and retired from Chrysler in 1993.
He enjoyed reading, watching the Red Sox and Patriots but most of all he loved spending time with his family and following the daily activities of his six grandchildren. Family was the greatest joy of his life and his love will live on through his extensive family and friends.
