In Boston, February 25, 2014 Jane C. Lima Age 73, passed away in Beth Israel Hospital while surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. Jane was the wife of the late John F. Lima. She was born in Arlington, the daughter of the late Frederick & Veronica (O’Neil) Strachan. Jane has resided in Carver since 1988 and was formerly of Taunton. Jane worked as an administrative assistant for the Department of Public Health. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed dancing, bowling, traveling paddleboating on her pond and cherished her time with family and her friends. Jane leaves her two daughters Debra Ranahan and her husband Robert of Fall River and Julie Lima of Taunton. Jane also leaves her grandchildren Brittany Teotonio and her husband Eric of Raynham and Catherine Ranahan of Fall River. Jane is survived by her brother Richard Strachen of San Antonio TX and her late siblings Frederick Strachen and Martha Strachen. Jane also leaves two nieces and one nephew and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 1st at 11 am. at Holy Family Church in East Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 from 9-10:30 am.
