Ian H. Johnson, 73, of Walpole died Wednesday, February 26. He was born to the late Arthur and Jeanie (McKenna) Johnson of East Walpole.
Ian graduated from Walpole High School in 1959 before entering the Army. He worked at the East Walpole Post Office for 30 years and part-time at Norwood Hospital for 24 years.
In his spare time he enjoyed visits with his grandchildren, going fishing and golfing and he loved watching sports on television.
He is survived by his wife Micheline (Laramee) Johnson of Walpole.
He is also survived by his son Eric Johnson of Walpole and his daughter Nicole Crowley and her husband David of Wilmington.
He was the brother of Fred Johnson of Guilford, Connecticut and Elizabeth Johnson of Boston.
He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Justin, Liam and Samantha Crowley of Wilmington.
A private family service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Gentiva Hospice, 2 Willow Street, Suite 102, Southborough, Ma 01745.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home, Walpole.
