Obituary

Tim Hale, husband, father, mentor, and friend, died of cancer on February 25, but was born a Libra fifty-four years prior on October 4, 1959. It was a Sunday.
This particular Sunday began with the proud smiles of Tim’s parents, Robert and Joy, and the infant cries of a newborn son. He was the youngest of four, and no matter how much he aged, would forever be the baby of the family. He was raised in Glastonbury, CT. It’s hard to say he grew up there, because he never truly managed to rid himself of his inner child. Nonetheless, Tim graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1978 and attended New England College, where he studied Business Administration and Alpine Skiing. Tim made many lifelong friends before he graduated with the class of ‘82, one of whom was Nancy Rowland. They married four years later in 1986 and had their first child in 1988. Later in his life, Tim’s Sundays began with an early morning swim in the summer or drive to the ski slopes in the winter.
Tim and Nance named their first born, Jon, after Tim’s dearly departed brother, and would go on to have a second and third child, Casey and Chris. Nancy wanted so badly to have a daughter; Tim was surely relieved to have three sons instead. It is clear they loved their children as much as each other. Tim did his best to teach his sons to be men before he left. He was a great husband and father.
Tim was, if nothing else, unwavering in his personality. He was brilliant, charming, stubborn, and kind.
Tim is survived by his father, the Honorable Judge Robert Hale; his forever girl, Nancy, whom he loved more than all the stars in the sky; their three sons, Jon, Casey, and Chris; his eldest brother Rob and favorite sister Loren; and lastly, a collective memory of unforgettable times shared by his friends and family.
A memorial reception was held at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, in Londonderry, NH from 5-8 PM on Friday the 28th of February. There was a Mass in Tim’s honor on Saturday March 1st at 9:00 AM. at St. Matthews Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH., burial of his cremated remains will be at Cemetery on the Plains of Windham, at a later date. Tim will be missed but never forgotten.
