Natalie L. (Noyes) Anderson, 93, of Franklin, died Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Kindred Transitional Care - Franklin. She was the beloved wife of Vernal Anderson who died in 2000.
Born in Plymouth on March 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Helen A. (Gould) Noyes.
Mrs. Anderson was a resident of Franklin for the past 57 years and formerly resided in Hopkinton. She was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston and was valedictorian of her class.
Before her retirement, she worked at Corning Medical in Medfield from 1970-1986.
Mrs. Anderson was a former member of the Women’s Guild at Christ Episcopal Church in Medway.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and loved to travel.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Anderson of Kingston and David Anderson and his wife Margaret of Franklin, two daughters Eleanor Barwick and her husband Fred and Jane Parks, all of Franklin, twenty-four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Vernal “Sonny” Anderson and Arthur “Pudgy” Anderson and was sister of the late Hazel Pease, Eleanor Mayo and Barbara Govoni.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
Burial will take place privately at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth at a later date.
