Dorothy J. Dyl, 85, of 218 Pond St., died Sunday, February 16, 2014 in the Ballou Home. Dorothy was the wife of Fred “Ted” Dyl, whom she married on May 31, 1986. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Kukla) Kogut. For most of her life Dorothy was a homemaker, she also worked as a crossing guard and for the lunch program in the Bellingham School System. She was a member of the Golden Hearts and Assumption Parish Ladies Guild.
Besides her husband she leaves two sons Joseph R. Gelineau and his wife Elaine of East Greenwich, and Gary Gelineau of Bellingham, MA, two daughters Nancy J. Williams and her husband Steve, of Harrisville, and Jean Gelineau of Bellingham, a step-son Christopher Dyl and his wife Rose of Coventry, four step-daughters, Carole Wright of NH, Nancy Delaney and her husband Mark of North Kingstown, Leslie Gourd and her husband Ken of West Warwick, and Andrea Laurence and her husband Stephen of AZ, two brothers, Robert Kogut of Las Vagas, and Bernard Kogut of N. Providence, two grandchildren, Sarah Gelineau and Ryan Gelineau, and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Paul, Fred, Richard, and Jeanne Kogut.
Funeral arrangements were private.
