Estelle N. Giard 85, formerly of 547 Clinton St., died Wednesday at The Holiday surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Lionel E. Giard, whom she married October 20, 1951. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Olivine (Beauregard) Poulin. Mrs. Giard was a cashier an seamstress for Rathbun Outlet for twenty two years before retiring in 1991. She was also a seamstress for Giard’s Dry Cleaners.
Estelle is survived by three daughters, Muriel I. Dubois and her husband Noel of Woonsocket, Pauline A. Lamarre and her husband Leo of Jewett City, CT, and Yvonne F. Buck and her husband Daniel of Knoxville, MD, six grandchildren, Marc and Nicholas Dubois, Kristen Wimberly, Gregory Lamarre, and Christopher and Danielle Anderson, and a great-grandson, Ian. She was also the sister of the late, Maurice, Gerard and Cecile Poulin, Gertrude Larivee, Irene Laporte, and Germaine Anderson.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM.
