Obituary

Joseph A. Robicheau, 84 of Salem, died at his homeThursday, February 20, 2014, following a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Gloria D. (Maurais) Robicheau with whom he had shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn and raised in Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Lorette (Comeau) Robicheau. Joe returned to the area shortly before joining the Navy during the Korean Conflict and served aboard the USS New Jersey. Following his tour of duty he returned home to begin his career with the H. P. Hood Creamery in Charlestown. He retired from Hood in 1990 with 42 years with the company.

A quiet man, Joe loved his family, his home and his garden. He was a longtime member of Ste. Anne Parish and was a life member of the Witch City VFW Post 1524.

In addition to his wife Gloria, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa M. Mullins and her husband Steven, Paula M. Archambault and her husband US Navy LCDR Raoul Archambault, two grandsons, Ryan & Sean Mullins, two brothers, Gerald Robicheau, Alphie Robicheau and his wife Marjorie, a sister-in-law, Cecile Robicheau, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Louis, Laurence, Paul, Daley and Emily
Relatives and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. with his funeral service to follow at 10:00 A.M. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem.
