Obituary

Sally Cassandra White, 22, of East Walpole died unexpectedly on February 22 as a result of a car accident. Sally was born on December 21, 1991, to Gregory P. and Karen J. (Cornell) White. Like much of her extended family, Sally was raised in East Walpole. She and her sister Leah, and brothers, Neil and Brian, spent their entire life growing up in the warm, close knit Killeen Road neighborhood.
Sally graduated from Bishop Feehan in 2009, and Bentley College, Summa Cum Laude, last year. She continued working as take out manager at Bertucci’s Restaurant in Wellesley and as concierge for the New England Patriots while looking for a career in marketing and media management, or perhaps the fashion industry. Those who knew Sally knew how she loved the latest fashions! Sally always a hard worker, previously worked at the Country Kitchen in Walpole, where she often offered raspberry lime rickeys to her siblings and her many cousins. She enjoyed working with people.
Sally loved all that life offered, especially her cat, Paws and her dog, Piper, singing, rapping, and a good laugh. Sally loved softball, the beach, scary movies, and especially (and mischievously) to goof in front of the camera, anything to make people laugh. Neil, Leah, and Brian will always share warm memories of their dad rocking in a chair at bedtime, telling made up stories to entertain the four kids; stories that Sally was not shy questioning.
Sally said it best last summer when she gave her toast at her sister Leah’s wedding. Amongst the several funny family stories she recounted, she told all of us how special she felt growing up because her older sister Leah always let her tag along with her. Greg, Karen, Neil, Leah, Brian all know how truly special Sally was.
In addition to her family of East Walpole , Sally leaves her grandmother, Sally White and her late grandfather, Thomas M. White of Walpole, her grandmother, Marion Cornell of Foxboro, and her grandfather, Robert Cornell and his wife Dale of Plympton. She will be missed by her special friend, Michael Fannon, of Foxboro. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 28, in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street, Walpole. MA 02081 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Sally’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 1, in St. Mary’s Church, Washington Street, East Walpole, MA at 9:00 a.m.
