Worcester: Sadie C. (Hirschfeld) Goesch, 70, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Saint Vincent's Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 45 years, William H. Goesch, a son Michael F. Goesch of Hinsdale, NH; a daughter Kristina L. Goesch and her fiance Chris Berardi of Medford; 2 sisters- Marie MacDonald of Nova Scotia and Annie Mullins of FL; 2 brothers- Paul and Charles Hirschfeld both of Nova Scotia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Eva Rosenblad.
Sadie was born in Goldenville, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Frank and Edna Belle (Pye) Hirschfeld. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked for over 20 years as an office manager at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling, knitting, and spending time with family and friends.
There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter , the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
