Obituary

Alfred "Al" Andrew Lynch, 75, of Anderson went to be with his Lord on February 21, 2014 after struggling with chronic respiratory problems. Judi was by his side.

He was born on June 24, 1938 in Whitley City, KY the son of Blanche (Dye) and Lewis Lynch. He has lived in Anderson since 1975.

Al served his country proudly in the 82nd Airborne Division, and was overseas for 2 tours of duty. He owned and worked at Lynch Painting and Decorating until becoming disabled. He loved the Lord and enjoyed being a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He loved gardening and sharing his roses with others, feeding the birds and squirrels, and playing with his beloved pets, Emily and Nellie Belle.

He is survived by the love of his life, Judith Lynch; 4 daughters, Donna, Julie, Janetta, and Star. He was the eldest son of 12 children and has 8 living siblings, several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and beloved grandparents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, a daughter, and a nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 11:00am at the Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Chuck Barker officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the VFW Post 266.
The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
