NEW BEDFORD — Barbara May Pax, age 76 years, of New Bedford, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Alan and Palmeda (Matthews) Crosby.
Barbara was employed at the Department of Transitional Assistance for the Comm. of Mass. as a welfare social worker for twenty years.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Patricia Gail Carreiro of Assonet, Victoria Ann Creque of Florida and Evretheke E. Chor of Westport; 2 sons, Michale Pax of New Bedford and Dr. Atonis Pax of Costa Mesa, Calif.; and grandchildren: Angeline Pax, Joshua Chor, Debra May Chor, Michale Pax and Hannah Pax.
Barbara's greatest treasures were her children and her grandchildren and her loves were reading and playing Poker.
Visitation will take place on Monday, February 24th from 5-7 p.m. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., NB with services at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
