Wiljanen, Walter Allen, 83, of Plymouth formerly of Chelmsford, passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 18. Beloved husband of Carolyn Bedford (Hosea) Wiljanen of Plymouth. Father of Eric Wiljanen formerly of Fitchburg, MA, Dawn Bedford of Chesterville, ME, Laurel Holland Hajek of Manakin Sabot, VA, Amy Poole of Hudson, MA, and Heidi Wiljanen Eber of Hampstead, MD. He also leaves 10 grandchildren.
Walter was born in Leominster, MA the son of Otto and Lillian (Johnson) Wiljanen. Walter graduated from Becker Junior College and received his B.A. and M.B.A. from Northeastern University where he served in the Army ROTC. He had his own business and also worked as an accountant for Muro Pharmaceuticals, Electro Metals, Raytheon, and ITek.
