Paul Maurice LeDoux, 87, of New Bedford died February 20, 2014 peacefully at home after a period of declining health.
He was the husband of the late Muriel R. (Boisvert) LeDoux with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Born on December 5, 1926 in Fall River, the son of the late Arthur E. and Marie A. (Phenix) Ledoux, he resided in New Bedford and Jensen Beach, FL for many years.
Paul was formerly employed with vending machine companies for over 20 years. He owned and operated Marc’s Sea Grille in New Bedford and Frates Drive-In in Buzzards Bay, MA.
He loved spending time with his family and living in Florida. Paul also loved camping, playing cards, traveling and the casinos.
Paul served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea.
His family would like to thank Paul's loving caregivers and the Overlook VNA and Hospice for the loving care that he received.
He is survived by his two daughters Carol Sherman and her husband Thomas of New Bedford and Paula Desorcy and her husband Leo of East Freetown; his four grandchildren, Kimberly Saunders and her husband Christopher of New Bedford, Carl Sherman and his wife Jodi of Acushnet, Jason Desorcy of East Freetown and Kelley Sears and her husband Jamie of Dartmouth; and six loving great-grandsons, Jack, Benjamin and Ryan Saunders, Lucas Sherman, Nicholas and Nathan Sears; a sister, Blanche Haws of Newark, DE; and many nephews and nieces.
He was the brother of the late Concorde Lachance, Normand Ledoux, Lorraine Gagne Lapointe and Gertrude Ouellette.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, February 25th at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph-St. Therese Church at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday, February 24th from 4-7 PM.
