Clara Ruth Harrell, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Heritage Healthcare at Osceola in Ocilla.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, February 24, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Harrell was born October 5, 1942 in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Jim and Ethel Joiner Harrell. She lived in the community most of her life and was a farmer and former employee at Madison Shirt Corporation in Rochelle. She was of the Missionary Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son: Jimmy Ellis Black of Fitzgerald; daughter: Bonnie Sue Jowers of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one sister: Sue Haney of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons: James Harrell Jowers and Magnum Kane Jowers; two brothers: Clifford Harrell and an infant brother; and a sister: Mary Ann Byce.
