On Wednesday afternoon, February 19, 2014, the Lord reached down with loving hands and lifted up His daughter, Dorothy Flippo Kelley. She went to be with her beloved husband, Nathaniel Hale Kelley and son, Stacey Kelley. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty. Rev. Jim Duggan will officiate with burial to follow in the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery. Dalton Edge, David Edge, Cody Kelley, Casey Kelley, Twiggs Kelley and Austin Kelley will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service at the First Baptist Church in Ty Ty.
Mrs. Kelley was born on May 5, 1928 in Guin, Alabama and was the daughter of Marvie Clark Flippo and Donnie Maddox Flippo, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ty Ty. She also worked with children at Peace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry A. and Pamela Kelley of Leesburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Jim Griffiths of Georgetown and Trena and Randy Mask of Macon; one brother, Wyman Flippo of Tifton; two sisters, Mary Gay Whitley of Ty Ty and Opal Wood of Oakfield; nine grandchildren, Dana Mitchell, Casey Kelley, Brooke Fowler, Cody Kelley, Angie Dedge, Candace Boggs, Austin Kelley, David Edge and Kelley Tovar; and 18 great-grandchildren, Dalton Dedge, Tyler Spurlock, Cole Spurlock, Cheyenne Boggs, Nathan Kelley, Jace Kelley, Heather Atkinson, Jonathan Atkinson, Rilynn Kelley, Cason Kelley, Lauren King, Ryan King, Cailyn Anderson, Emily Anderson, Peyton Hocker, Abigail Mitchell, Dylan Fowler, Paige Tovar.
