Obituary

BEVERLY: Frank P. Kwiatkowski, 89, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home following an extended illness.. He was the beloved husband of Carrie J. (Wilczak) Kwiatkowski. They had just celebrated sixty-one years of marriage.
Born In Amsterdam, New York on January 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Felix and Marcella (Pawlowski) Kwiatkowski. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War Two, he was honorably discharged as a Corporal on January 22, 1946. He had resided in Amsterdam, New York for eighty years before moving to Beverly nine years ago.
Frank was the Town Supervisor for the Town of Amsterdam for many years. He had also once worked as an insurance salesman for Prudential Insurance Company for many years. While residing in New York, Frank was an active member of St. Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam, a member of the Third Order of Carmelite and an active member of the Kateri Tekakwitha League of Auriesville, New York. Since living in Beverly, he was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church and its Men’s Group.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Helene Stevens and her husband, Richard of Beverly; four sons, Paul Kwiatkowski and his wife, Maaike of Colorado Springs, CO, Peter Kwiatkowski of Jacksonville, FL, Francis Kwiatkowski and his wife, Debbie of Fultonville, NY and Joseph Kwiatkowski and his wife, Andrea of Raynham; sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, William Wilczak and his wife, Lelia of Amsterdam, NY and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two grandchildren, three brothers and a sister.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to the Mass in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Association of Marian Helpers, Stockbridge, MA 01263. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
