Lillian Pye Williams
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Lillian Pye Williams, 84, entered into rest Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
Mrs. Williams was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was owner and operator of Pye’s Grocery Stores and Thriftee Supermarket. She was loved by her children and grandchildren.
Family members include daughters: Susan Pye Bundy and husband Jerry, Cathy Pye O’Byrne and husband Larry, Teresa Williams Hayes and husband Al; sons: Carlton A “Andy” Pye, Jr. and wife Kathy, Steve Pye and wife Tami, Russell P. Pye and wife Rev. Patti Sue; 14 grandchildren: Kristina Bundy, Catherine Nicole Bundy, Carlton A. “Drew” Pye, III, Philip Pye, William O’Byrne, Steven O’Byrne, Scott O’Byrne, Brent O’Byrne, Kristen Pye Goolsby, Preston Pye, Sarah Beth Pye, Christopher Marler, Taylor Hayes, Brooke Hayes; 8 great grandchildren: Sisters: Mildred Murdock and Barbara Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Carlton A. Pye, Sr. and Douglas N. Williams; and by her infant daughter: Louise Faye Pye.
The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center at Windemere for their loving care of our mother.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Fr. Jacek Szuster officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Building Fund, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.
