Ruth A. (Gilman) Fontaine, 89, of Salem, NH died Tuesday, Feb 18th at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH.
Ruth was born and educated in Andover, MA , one of ten children born to the late Albert and Roseanna (Godreau) Gilman.
Ruth worked as an assembler for Western Electric. She enjoyed reading and watching T.V., knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Riverside Assembly of God Church in Methuen, MA. Ruth volunteered at church and various nursing homes.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Albert C. Fontaine.
She is survived by her son, David Fontaine of Salem, NH; her daughter, Linda Driscoll and husband Leo of Nashua, NH; her brother, George Gilman and his wife Sally of Salem, NH and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday, Feb. 22nd from 9 -11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial is in West Parish Cemetery in Andover, MA.
